Our wine list includes specially selected wines from all over the world, so let us take you on a wine journey.

Tim Hart has a passion for wine and he personally selects every bottle on our wine list. He has cultivated a wine list that is exciting with something delicious for everyone. It encompasses great vintages, new discoveries and some old favourites. We would encourage you to try countries and regions that may be new to you.

NV Taittinger Brut Reserve £110.00

A beautifully brilliant golden colour with bubbles that are fine and a mousse both discreet and persistent.

2021 Puligny Montrachet Les Aubues £125

Noble aromas: almond paste, fern, exotic fruits, amber, white flowers. In the mouth, acidity is rather unobtrusive, leaving a soft expression and an intense impressive persistence.

Supple and harmonious Grave that is drinking very well now.

2016 Le Cinciole, Chianti Classico £69  

Leather and spice and plenty of grip to cut through meaty or heavy dishes.

Young to be sure but still delicious now with charming Pinot fruit and Gevrey earthiness and weight.

Very nice fresh Sauvignon style at the front of the wine with the roundness of the Semillon contributing to the finish.

A glorious entry-level white Burgundy from a very successful vintage.

2021 Viognier, “Les Iles Blanches”, Cellier Des Chartreux £42

A lovely balanced Viognier from the Gard. Masses of apricot and peach aromas but enough backbone to avoid flabbiness which can affect variety.

Dessert Wines

2021 Monbazillac, Domaine de L’Ancienne Cure

A lovely golden dessert wine made with late harvest Semillon and a little Muscadelle grapes. The flavour has gorgeous barley-sugar and marmalade notes. Enjoyable on its own, with fruity desserts and with blue cheese.

2018 Les Carmes de Rieussec

Delicious second wine of Ch Rieussec. Lemon Tart, Meringue, Lime and Beeswax are all elements detectable on the nose. Sweet and round on the palate with enough freshness to invite another sip.

Rosé Wines

2022 Domaine Montrose, Prestige Rosé, France

Made from Grenache (70%) and Rolle (25%) with 5% Syrah the wine has a pale colour, lovely citrus and spice aroma and perfect balance on the palate. Very moreish!

2023 Whispering Angel Rosé, Côtes de Provence, France £67.50

This silver/pink rosé from Sacha Lichine of Caves d’Esclans is wildly fashionable for its very appetising floral aroma and refreshing clean style.

Red Wines

Lighter, aromatic reds from the Old World

2022 Beaujolais “Le Ronsay” Jean-Paul Brun, France £42.00

Brun is a genius and this wine expresses his style very well. Fresh crunchy fruit and sour cherry aromatics. Can be drunk slightly cooled on a hot day!

2022 Valpolicella, Allegrini, Italy £45.00

Crunchy red cherry fruit gives this great example a refreshing quality. On a hot day ask for the bottle to be served cool-not cold!

2022 Fleurie Vieilles Vignes, Reserve de Colonat £53.00

Fleurie is perhaps the most charming of the top of wines of Beaujolais. Wild strawberry aromas combine with raspberry notes in the mouth and a refreshing structure.

Lighter, aromatic reds from the New World

2020 Durvillea Astrolabe, Marlborough, Pinot Noir, New Zealand £46.00

Surprisingly for Marlborough the style of this wine less wild strawberry and a touch more farmyard. Colour slightly brick tinged. Appealing nose has some red fruit but savoury notes too. Nice mid weight palate.

Medium and full-bodied reds from the Old World

2022 Château Fontarèche, Corbières, Vieilles Vignes, France £32.00   

This is a lovely round and generous wine with hints of spice and “garrigue” made from Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache and Carignan.

2022 Negroamaro, Imuri, Puglia, Italy  £36.00

Made in southern Italy from old bush vines, this wine has freshness and balance as well as surprisingly modest alcohol (13%) Flavours of blackberries combine with more savoury notes in a very rounded whole.

2020 Solañera Viñas Viejas, Yecla, Spain £48.00

This opulent Spanish red from the little-known region of Yecla and made mostly from the Monastrell grape (Mourvèdre) is a favourite with Parker who gives it 94 points and says, “this amazing red wine displays notes of lead pencil shavings, acacia flowers, black raspberries, blueberries and blackcurrants.”

2015 Urbina Crianza, Rioja, Spain £45.00   

This much-loved Rioja has an aromatic almost Burgundian style.

2016 Chateau Croix Mouton, Bordeaux Supérieure, France £55

A delightful round and supple wine from the boundary of Fronsac. If you can leave a little in the glass for 10 minutes, it develops lovely additional flavours and aromas.

2019 Vasco & the explorer, Touriga Nacional, Stellenbosch, South Africa

In this charming wine from Stellenbosch, South Africa, the Portugese Touriga Nacional grape has a surprising supple and aromatic personality.

2021 Lake Breeze, Bull Ant Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, Australia  £40.00

Rich powerful wine with plums and chocolate overtones and an earthy complex finish.

2017 Journey’s End Merlot, Stellenbosch, South Africa £54.00

A big rich and round wine with nice upfront fruit and some minty undertones on the nose. Fruit cake and herbal eucalyptus notes.

Port

Grahams 20-year-old Tawny              

Typical Graham richness and remarkable freshness abound in this oak aged tawny.

Super dark and powerful. Shows raisin, spice, coffee and violet Aromas.

2003 Churchill’s Vintage Port

Full, dark colour with a strong purple hue. The nose is closed but powerfull and complex with an underlying aroma of concentrated ripe berries.
